SIX WEEKS AFTER EVLT TREATMENT OF BULGING VARICOSE VEINS
A 63 years old Caucasian male from Simi Valley, California, presented with massively bulging varicose veins in his left leg, due to venous reflux in his Great Saphenous vein . This venous incompetence was the root cause of his problem and associated with swelling of the lower leg and proliferation of blue and spider vein networks extending to his ankle and foot. The after pictures were taken 6 weeks after ablating the Saphenous vein with the EVLT procedure. Note the dramatic spontaneous decrease in swelling of the leg and bulging of the varicose veins, as well as significant improvement in the appearance of the blue and spider veins. Note that these surface veins were not treated directly as yet.
